Prayer for College Students

College is a time of independence and self- discovery, but with so many choices and decisions it can easily be a challenge. We become fearful of making mistakes, unclear about what we want to do in life, and question if we are taking the right path. We try to balance our social life, meeting new people, joining clubs, and participating in college events, with the pursuit of academic excellence that we often feel brunt out and want to quit. The need for financial security, a stable job, and high loan payments consume us with anxiety and desperation that we often look for an outlet of clarity and momentum to move forward.

As a loving father, God has commanded us to present to him with these worries and requests for peace and clarity through prayer. He understands that college life will be filled with struggles and confusion, and wants us to trust in him. He is our creator, and has a divine plan for each one of us; he will always provide us with the foundation of hope and strength. We need to remember that college is just one transition in our life, and it is a journey that God has placed us in.

Sometimes it is hard to pray when God feels so far away, but understand that God is always listening to our prayer requests.  Let the power of prayer help you regain the serenity of knowing that God is in control and will lead you towards the right path. Use online prayer as the way to find him in the midst of the difficulties and feeling of separation, for God sincerely wants the best for his sons and daughters. Ask him for advice and guidance to overcome your situation, to provide you with people that can help you, and thank him for what he has already given to you.

In Philippians 4:6-7, it says “do not worry about anything, but with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to God and then the peace of God will guard your hearts and mind.”

Send your prayers to The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the place where our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified, buried and resurrected. HolyLandPrayer.com is an organization that lives footsteps from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We understand that not everyone can make it here to this holy place and therefore we created a service to allow everyone pray at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher from the comfort of their own home wherever they may be.

Prayer Request for your Broken Marriage

It has become more common to hear about unhappy marriages and divorces. In fact, divorces have become a trend not only in the American society, but worldwide as well. According to common known statistics, around half of the marriages in the United States end up in divorce or separation. The breaking of this love vow not only breaks a relationship apart, but also breaks families apart. The consequence of divorces is afflicted children, who at the need of the day, end up suffering the most.

It is true, problems are common in marriages and no perfect relationship exists. Some might even say that a healthy marriage needs to have some sort of relationship problem once in a while. However, sometimes your marriage problems can blind you to the point of forgetting the importance of the vow you made before God and your love ones. You might find yourself in a difficult moment in your marriage and think that the end of it has arrived and that you have become one more number to add to the divorce statistic. Even though your situation might make you doubt that any possible solutions exist, there is always one solution that should not be forgotten. This solution is God.

God is always present to guide you through your most difficult times. You do not have be a devoted believer for God to listen to you. With faith, prayer can help you solve what you might have otherwise thought as impossible to restore. Sending a prayer request to God, through its servers, can help you bring peace back to your relationship and to your family. Many marriages that send prayers through their church have receive in return blessings from God. God’s blessing is powerful enough to give you the answers you need to protect and save your marriage. Faith and prayer are a fundamental piece for anyone’s family especially when trying to overcome the very common difficulties that are part of marriage.

Even though you might think that you have no power over your current status because you see your partner slowly departing from your marriage, sending a prayer to your church might bring back the stability that has been missing. This stability could save your marriage. God will always listen to your pleadings and will help you by lighting your way to happiness.

So, in these days of Lent remember that God always loves you and is there to help you in harsh times. Take a moment to write your prayer request and send it to your church so that you can, after all, find peace in your marriage.
